Busy work

hello dear, how are you? how has your week been so far? 😊
For me yesterday, I could really feel myself being overwhelmed by stress as a new full of work started. There’s been several projects that I’m heavily involved that are really urgent and stressful, and they are all happening at the same time. I feel like this hasn’t happened for quite a while, but I literally had back to back meetings from 2:30pm to 7pm yesterday. I could feel that my brain turned on the fight mode, so even though I was managing all the meetings pretty well, I know that I was actually drained on the inside and my anxiety/alert mode was triggered.
So after I’ve finished work and had dinner, I forced myself to wind down by practicing breathing and also not using any digital devices for a while. Eventually I felt slightly better and slowed down.
Today, I had my chinese doctor appointment, and my doctor also said that my body is stressed. I think it’s good that he made me more aware of my mental state, so that I can be more intentional to adjust my mindset. And for evening for the last two days, I just really let myself relax and recharge as much as possible, so that I can have more mental bandwidth to deal with stress at work the next day.
Tomorrow I’ll have to go in the office, I hope I’ll be managing my stress level as well, so that my nervous system won’t be triggered uncontrollably.
