CNY hannah

hello dear, how are you? it’s chinese new year, are you enjoying it? 😊

For me, I had my bai nin tradition at my dad’s family side yesterday on nin chor 1. That’s the only bai nin activity I’ve got these days. I guess that’s why chinese new year feels kinda boring for me, but it’s probably also not a bad thing, because I was super tired yesterday after that visit. We got home at about 4pm, and I just stayed in bed since then till 8pm for dinner.

But it wasn’t all a bad experience, I actually was so tired because I was playing with my niece who is like 11 years old. She is a bit 8 yim, but I think she really likes me because she pretended that she didn’t care but also kept annoying me. So I just kept her entertained. And it made me realise how much I still enjoy being with kids when I feel better mentally and have the energy. Then we teamed up to play rummikib for awhile, and I won 3 games out of 5 (hehe)!

Here is my chor 1 outfit this year :) I didn’t get any new clothes and it was so warm, but I still tried to dress more properly in case my mom says I’m wearing too little. But actually, I think I like my inside outfit more without my knitwear and skirt, what do you think? 😊

As for today (chor 2), I didn’t have any plans. My brother went to his gf’s family for bai nin in Tai Po. And my parents wanted to visit Tai Po too, so they all went there. I didn’t want to join because I wanted to reserve some me time. So I stayed home and exercised a bit, did some singing, and then I went to wash my car. I know people say it’s not good to wash your car during cny, but as you know me, I don’t really care about these traditions. Also, I am so glad that because of that, the car wash spot was so quiet, so I didn’t have to stress about occupying the space.

After my car wash, it was around 5pm, so I took my car out and I decided to go chase some sunset. So I drove to one of the beaches in Stanley, and it was very beautiful :)

My way to spend the CNY might be a bit unconventional, but I feel really thankful that I get to enjoy the relaxing ride and beautiful sunset 😊
