Getting back to life in HK

hello dear, how are you?

For the last few days, I’ve been slowly adjusting back to my routine life in HK after being away for almost a month.

Physically, it’s the jetlag that I’m still feeling till today even though it’s my fourth day back. But I often feel really tired in the morning, and my sleep at night isn’t that good either. There’re also other things, such as the really humid weather here, the really loud renovation downstairs my flat (I almost forgot they started it a month ago just before I left), the 10-7 work hours…etc, that I’m taking time to get used to again.

One really sad thing is that I started my car yesterday after 4 weeks of not moving it. It seems like the AC is broken, as I don’t feel any cold wind as the car started moving :( so it is something that I have to fix soon.

There’ve been some moments when I felt a bit overwhelmed with trying to get back to my routine, kinda feel like the “old” stress coming back. But there’re also great things about being back, such as seeing Chung again, eating my comfort food (siumai, fishball noodles), back to my comfy bed and room.

So I’ve just been reminding myself to take the time to adjust back to my routine here, while I enjoy the refreshing feeling of being back while it lasts.

Tomorrow will be the first time I head back to the office, I look forward to seeing people like Patrick, Edison, and Howe. And I’m gonna try to rest well tonight :)

Good night :)
