Grogu and me

hello dear, how are you?

I’ve been enjoying the long weekend so far, finally feeling like I’m recovering from my cold slowly, so I’m a bit more energetic even though my pms is giving me some discomfort.

Yesterday (Saturday), I went out with Chung to have brunch, then we went to Airside in Kai Tak. We chose to go there because we both love the Mandalorian and Grogu series and there’s a pop up store there. This is actually my first time going to Airside (haha, yes, my exploration of Hong Kong was frozen in 2022). Chung took me to the Kai Tak cruise terminal park too, it’s also my first time being there. It’s kinda weird to see all these latest developments in HK, I can’t say that I don’t like them, but I also kinda feel a bit of nostalgic whenever I see these unfamiliar infrastructure in HK.

At the pop up store at Airside, I also got my first ever blind box too, haha. It’s a mandalorian and grogu plush blind box, because I really want a grogu soft toy. It was 50% chance for me to get one, but I still ended up getting Minch 😭, this cranky tiny old creature character, instead of grogu :((( haha, but I guess it’s okay, because it was a gift from Chung and that makes me feel less sad about it.

Chung and I actually had some arguments and slightly more serious conversation at the Cruise Terminal Park. I don’t want to go into too much details, but he’s sometimes quite cranky (pei hei not very good, like you haha). Sometimes I tried my best to communicate with him but he just has a lot of mood swings. A lot of his chracters remind me of you, actually. And even the dynamics between me and him makes me think of you and me. You two and I are in two extremes on certain things, it causes conflicts between us but I also think they are actually areas we should learn from each other. That is something I’m still navigating.

As for today, I had church then did a lot of chores, and also washed my car with my bro and his gf. It’s a productive day even though it was super tiring. So I’m glad tomorrow is not a working day :)
