Long distance texting

hello dear, how are you?

Work continues to be really busy, I went into the office yesterday, it was a busy day while it was also someone (you don’t know)’s last day. I usually leave the office at around 7:15pm and Edison and I will both drive back to Hong Kong Island, but yesterday Vincent was here and he began discussing work with us at around 7pm, in the end we finished and left at 7:30pm.

We also are going to be at in Mainland China for a trade show trip next week. Not sure if you remember, but I went to one last year in around September/October, but that was just 2 days 1 night. This time It’s gonna be 4 days 3 nights, quite a bit longer and I’m definitely not looking forward to it.

In the meantime, Chung is finally going to be back this Saturday. For the last two days, I could start to feel that this “long d” texting thing is becoming a bit tough. Even though Sree (my first bf) and I did long d for quite a few years, I feel it wasn’t as difficult, maybe because there wasn’t any time difference between Singapore and Hong Kong, and we both were really intentional to video call almost every night. But for Chung, because he’s travelling with parents and we aren’t really together yet, we didn’t do any facetime for the last two weeks and were only texting.

As you know me, I’m quite used to “be on my own”, but for the last two nights, I felt a bit emo especially when I had to go to sleep without receiving his replies/good night, because he is in the US now and he’d be still asleep when I go to bed. And this morning when I woke up, I finally told him that I feel sad about it. He said he’s sorry about it and promised to compensate me when he’s back. And for the first time after 2 weeks, we did a short call on the phone during my lunch. It felt quite refreshing and definitely made me feel less sad, even though I know I was like a cat being so slow to warm up even on the phone. But he said my voice is very sweet.

I guess I feel slightly better now, but I still hope Saturday comes sooner, so that I can see him and also have a break from work.
