Ordinary Saturday

hello dear, how are you? how did you spend your Saturday?

For me, I spent an ordinary Saturday with Chung. We both slept in at our own home till late morning, then he drove over to pick me up and we went to my favourite fishball noodles at shau kei wan. After that, I got a coffee and we went back to his place at heng fa chuen, and we just rest, chat, and cuddled for the first time for a bit.

I have always wanted and imagined spending a Saturday with another person like that, nothing too special or new, just simple and relaxed in the ordinary. The truth is, after all the things I’ve gone through, I’ve never thought I would feel safe and comfortable enough again to do all these things, to go to another person’s home and cuddle for a peaceful afternoon, if the other person wasn’t you. And what’s more that I’ve never imagined is that I would actually feel good and pleasant coming out from yesterday’s date.

He reminds me so much of you, but in a good way. He reminds me of how it felt like when I really loved you and wanted to give you my love. It’s that same kind of pure love, that I’ve only found in you before but not anyone else (not even Sree) before I met Chung. It’s a bittersweet feeling.

Sorry that I’m feeling a lot and still processing all these emotions that I’m feeling. I know that I definitely need time for that, and I’m glad for the timing because he is actually going on a 2 weeks trip soon to the UK and US to visit his parents next week, and my parents are also going back to the UK next Tuesday. I know all these will allow me space to process everything.
