Parents back to the UK

hello dear, how are you? 😊
sorry for the silence, a lot has been happening for me to manage at the same time for the last few days, so I didn’t really have the energy to share with you here.
Firstly it is that my parents just flew back to Manchester this evening, after staying here for almost 5 months. It’s definitely an end of a chapter for me and our family as I return back to the life of living with my brother only. It feels like it’s becoming a harder and more worrying goodbye each time, especially seeing that they are getting older and slower. My dad actually requested a wheelchair from cathay this time, so that he can do less walking. We all kinda laughed about it but we all know that his mobility is declining gradually. But at the same time, I know that the distance between my parents and me helps give me the space I need to breathe mentally and emotionally, and live the life that I am meant to live. So I am definitely feeling a lot of mixed emotions. I also know that this will mean I will have to pick back up on a lot of the chores and family responsibilities again after 5 months, so it will probably take time for me to adjust back to a slightly different routine again, especially if Chung and I continue to develop and spend time together after he returns from his trip.
At the same time, my period just came and hit me with cramps, while I also got sick that I think was infected from my parents 😅 I’ve been sweating all day today and lying on bed to rest :( I really don’t want to get sick because Chung is leaving on friday, and we thought we could spend a bit more time together after my parents go and before he leaves. So I really hope I’ll get better soon.
Sharing till here first for now because I really need to rest, here is a photo of me going in the office on Monday. it was a busy hectic day at work as well, partly why I’m even more tired 🫂
