Typhoon weekend

hello dear, how are you? hope you stayed safe during the typhoon 🌀!
For me, it was pretty mild this time compared to the ones we had for the past few years, so it was pretty manageable and because of the typhoon, church was cancelled and I got to have more rest and me time, which was actually really nice.
On friday, I suffered from a really bad period pain as that was the day with heaviest flow. It was so bad that I felt like I really just couldn’t do anything more than resting. I think it mjght be the hormones, but aside from the pain, I was like having a serious brain fog that my brain just couldn’t function.
Thankfully I felt quite much better on Saturday and I had the strength to go out. I first went out to have brunch with brother, then I went to vocal class, and after that I met with Chung to watch The Odyssey. I enjoyed it quite a lot, it was quite intense (I watched it in IMAX), and even though I feel like there’re things I could pick on, I was still deeply moved by the film. Wonder if you’ve watched it yet?
As for today, it’s actually kinda a special day, because I planned to give Chung an early birthday celebration before I fly out. His birthday is sometime in August when I’ll not be in town, so I told him that I’d like to celebrate his birthday before I go. Because this is the first time we celebrate together and we aren’t officially together yet, I kinda want to keep it light, so that he doesn’t feel too stressed (In fact, at first he didn’t want me to do anything), so I booked an italian restaurant that is quite popular, because I know he likes pizza. He was quite surprised because turns out it is a place he bookmarked to visit, and he afterwards told me that he felt really loved and touched that I wanted to celebrate for his birthday. I feel satisfied because my goal is to make him feel loved.
This coming week is going to be my last week in HK before I leave for the UK for a month, so it’s gonna be a bit packed and stressed for me. As usual, I feel quite anxious whenever I have to be away for a bit of time. Hope I’ll manage it this time.
Good night dear, hope you’re staying safe and dry :)
