Christmas Eve

hello dear, miss you 🤍 how are you spending your Christmas Eve?

I had a really fulfilling day today. I worked only in the morning and took a half day off. I drove out to Tai Hang to meet my therapist friend who just came back from her long trip to Latin America. After we had lunch, we just stayed in the car to chat and catch up in the afternoon. And then cause Edison knew I was in Tai Hang, he messaged me at around 4pm and drove down to get some bakery. We spent some time together looking at each other’s cars and took some photos. As you know I like him being around, but it was also a bit awkward cause my friend was there too inside my car, so he didn’t stay for too long.

After awhile, my friend had to go, so I dropped her off and was planning to go home. But then it was around sunset hours and I saw that the sky was pretty nice, so I decided last minute to go up to Braemar Hill where Edison lives. There’s a sunset watching spot that he used to take me to. So he came over to find me, and because he wanted to have a ride with my car too, so I let him drive it around Braemar Hill.

I had to go to a Christmas Eve service at my church in the evening, so we didn’t spend a long time together. But he took this really nice photo of my car before I drove him back home :)

I feel like I always enjoy to hang out with him outside of the office. I am glad that we are good friends and feel comfortable with each other that we can meet spontaneously. I also like that we only weren’t meeting at night for Christmas Eve, which would probably be a bit out of the line as friends.

After that, I went to church for a Christmas Eve service. To me as a Christian, despite the busy schedule and festive atmosphere, I see the most important thing for this time of the year as honouring and celebrating Jesus’ birth. In my personal faith journey, this is where love and hope started, and I wanted to make sure I also remember that. So it was a great time for me to do that during the church service.

I went with Vienna and her bf, my another friend from my old church, and also Joao. I actually feel a bit stressed recently when being with him because of multiple reasons. One of that is I guess I don’t always like the way he interacts with me, and it felt even more awkward especially when my other friends are around. But I guess I will share about that later in another post.

PS: Here is my very silly outfit today: I thought I would wear a Christmasy outfit that is also slightly more British. But then it was so hot today, haha 😅
