Day 1 Frankfurt

hello my dear, from Frankfurt :) how are you doing? I miss yoooou 🤍

After a 13.5 hours flight, Veron and I are finally here at Frankfurt. The flight was okay, I did rest a bit on the flight, and I landed at 7am EU time this morning. I am actually super sleepy now (10:30pm) but I managed to stay awake till now to counter the jet lag.

We went to the trade show booth in the afternoon, but it’s not fully built yet for us to start the set up, so we went to have a bit of walk in Frankfurt.

There actually isn’t much here to sightsee. We went to this “old town area”, and Veron took these pictures of me. We both laughed looking at the photos, and she claims that this is called the “gen Z” angle, haha. I thought they look quite unique and interesting.

Then we two had dinner together tonight (Jojo is arriving tomorrow). During dinner, Veron started talking about a lot of things about her team (our old team TBS), such as the team morale, things that happened within different members in the team, Jenny’s management etc.

I always have this weird feeling whenever people talked to me about these more “secretive” stuff of the team. I feel like I do feel them and understand their situations because I’ve been there before. But I also don’t want to comment or share too much of my thoughts because I don’t like small talks and talking behind people’s back. I guess I do also want to stay away from being part of the unhealthy culture, so I don’t really know how to respond when someone talks to me about this kind of stuff. That’s also why I hope you don’t mind that I am not going to write down here what Veron said to me during dinner, even though I do want to share with you and I trust you a lot to share anything with you. I will share with you someday when we get to chat :)

I do find it especially special interacting with Veron and hearing her out about work, because afterall I “hired” her back in the days, but also I find her very interesting as a gen Z, haha.

Starting from tomorrow, I will probably be busier and more stressed out. I hope I will be fine and I am going to rest early tonight.
