Itās the last day of this long weekend, I woke up with some really bad period cramps and nausea, thankfully I felt better after taking some painkillers. I went out to have lunch with my therapist friend and another friend.
I have been practicing this thing called āgroundingā that my vocal teacher taught me. He said anxiety often comes from having your mind too fixated on the future. And grounding is a way to help keep you in the present and reorient your mind back to the reality by using the 5 senses of your body to be more aware of your surroundings.
I do find that helpful for managing my anxiety. When I tried to do this exercise as I walked by the park on my way home, I paid extra attention to the sun that was shining down, the noise of children running around, and the mild wind on my skin. Gradually, I could really feel that my feet is more āgroundedā, and this process reminds me to live in the present, and what I shared in the last few posts - experience life in its fullness.
Wanted to capture that moment with you so I took some selfies for you :) Sorry I donāt look the best today cause of my period

Miss you, my dear š½
