sharing this cover that I did yesterday with you, this song is from Terrence Lam (Lam Ka Him). I am not a die hard fan of him like many people are, but I really felt a lot with the lyrics of this song for the past few days. It talks about how there are change of seasons in life that we can’t avoid as life goes on, just like how there are four seasons a year. But we can always remember and hold on to the good times - those people, those warmth and love they brought to our hearts, and those unforgettable moments and feelings.


I feel this song speaks a lot about what I’ve been going through during this time I am in the UK. From feeling really anxious about leaving my comfort zone and social life in HK before I set off to the UK, to being overwhelmed by that loneliness and distance when I’m here, to learning to overcome the insecurity and overthink, and to now getting ready to say goodbye to my parents soon (leaving on Sunday) and begin my own journey again, change of seasons has always been challenging for me, whether or not it’s a short or long chapter in life. But if there’s anything I feel God wants me to practice and learn from this trip, is that despite the changes in my surroundings, life stages, and even people around, I can always choose to remember and celebrate the good things that have happened in my life.


Even though this song is secular from Terrence Lam. It reminded me of this Bible verse: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
